The extern is expected to be present according to the work routine of the students in the department he or she are assigned to. The daily routine in each department is different, and will be explained on the first day; however, the extern should arrive to the hospital by 8 am, and join the students and the clinicians in the rotation. Clinicians in externship programs take part in all the activities of the department as observers and will be expected to participate in general hospital activities such as seminars, ward rounds etc.

Fee

Registration - A 270 NIS fee will be charged in the beginning of the externship.
The first 12 weeks of the externship are free of charge.

After this period, each additional day will cost 160 NIS.

Insurance

Every extern has to have a valid medical insurance.

Housing

The veterinary teaching hospital is unable to provide for student accommodation.

It is the extern responsibility to make sure he/she has a medical insurance.
